We booked a Wizards Afternoon Tea Delivery in Essex with Joey’s Java. They offer very special themed afternoon teas for delivery in Essex. One of their tea’s is perfect for any Harry Potter fans out there, their ‘Wizard’s Ministry of Tea’. It was such a special experience from start to finish and personalised to us. The afternoon tea was booked directly via Joey’s Java’s website. Upon booking, Joey’s Java contacted us for guest names and details to create a personalised experience.

The Invitation

Shortly before the big day we received a very special delivery by Owl Mail. A magical envelope arrived personalised with our details and complete with an authentic red seal. This invitation in itself felt special and exciting and made us look forward to what was coming.

Inside the envelope details of our ‘Wizards Ministry of Tea’ were confirmed. Along with the confirmation, we also received a complete menu and instructions for the day. You are given a list explaining what is supplied and what will be collected, making it a simple process for collection after your experience.

On the Day

On the day of our Wizards Afternoon Tea delivery we were given a two hour window for delivery and received a text shortly before arrival. All the food and props were packed in boxes ready for us to set up at home ourselves. Discovering what was inside each box was exciting in itself Each guest received a gift bag with a cloak and tie to wear for this special occasion.

The Savouries

For our afternoon tea, we received freshly made sandwiches filled with roast beef, ham, cheese and roast veg and hummus. They were all delicious. The sandwiches were accompanied with a selection of mini pies and cheese and pretzel broomsticks. We also received a casket of dragon roasted nuts to nibble on. They also supplied plain ham and jam sandwiches for the younger guests.

The Sweet Stuff

After the savouries, we were treated to home made sticky pumpkin and ginger cake, scones with clotted cream and strawberry jam. Fresh from a herbology class, we had tiny plant pots filled with white chocolate mouse, edible soil and a fondant surprise. Alongside the sweet stuff, we had lots of other sweet surprises from jelly beans to chocolate frogs.

All this was washed down with lots of Butter beer, a special potion we mixed ourselves and an incantation tea, stirred with a souvenir wand that we got to keep! We were also supplied with a selection of tea bags to enjoy with our afternoon tea.

The Magic

This Wizard’s Ministry of tea wasn’t just any afternoon tea. It came with magic… Before we could mix our potion, we had a magical puzzle box to solve that gave us the recipe for our Potions Class. We also found a QR code to scan on our phones which opened up a message from a very special guest! This was a brilliant surprise!

Not only did we get to keep our souvenir wands but our youngest guest got to keep a mini music box and a magical egg to hatch, so the magic continued after the afternoon tea had ended.

This Wizards Afternoon Tea delivery was a special affair from start to finish, we had such fun dressing up in our robes, eating lovely food and creating the magic and potions. This was not just an afternoon tea, this was filled with magic and wonder and was the most wonderful experience.

Joey’s Java have really thought about each and every detail of this afternoon tea. The effort they have gone to to make this experience a special one, really shows.
