A Pop Up Magical Afternoon Tea with The Party Kitchen
A Pop Up Magical Afternoon Tea
Eden and I were invited along to a truly special event hosted by The Party Kitchen. Their very first ‘Pop Up Magical Afternoon Tea’ event, promising to be every witch and wizards dream and a must if you’re a Harry Potter Fan! This event was perfect for both children and adults to enjoy together.

The Magical Afternoon Tea was set in its very own Great Hall in Leigh-on-Sea in Essex. It was the perfect setting. The walls were decorated with floating candles, the high ceilings adorned with flags and the long tables dressed and ready for our feast.
This wasn’t just any afternoon tea, this was a magical themed afternoon tea with a twist. Wizards and witches could visit each station set up around the hall. Kids could learn spells and practice their wand skills, try their hand at palm reading, figure out which house they were most suited to, pose at the photo wall or treat themselves to some sweet treats from the candy station. Each child was given a scroll with activities to keep them entertained during the afternoon tea, with colouring and wizard themed puzzles to enjoy. Each element had been planned and executed perfectly, to really create the magic on the day.
Food
Once we were shown to our tables, we enjoyed homemade sausage rolls whilst the magical themed afternoon tea was brought out. The Party Kitchen is famous for their delicious home made sausage rolls with pickle! They are a delight and definitely a firm favourite with guests. Our cake stand arrived and was filled with lots of yummy treats.
The magical afternoon tea savouries consisted of pickle sausage rolls, plain sausage rolls for kids, cheese and broccoli egg bites, delicious freshly made sandwiches filled with roast beef and horseradish, cream cheese and cucumber, Egg Mayo and cress, Cheddar and plum chutney and plain ham and cheese mini rolls shaped sandwiches for the children.
For the afternoon tea sweet stuff, we were treated to homemade scones with clotted cream and jam, the most amazing treacle tart I’ve ever tasted, lemon drizzle cake, our very own chocolate frog and owl dropping shortbread (chocolate chips).
We had a truly enchanting time at this Magical afternoon tea pop up event with The Party Kitchen! The effort that had gone into decorating the venue was simply amazing, it really did create the magic! We all had such a wonderful time. We all enjoyed the delicious food, took part in the magic and we met some lovely people. It was enjoyable all round! We are so excited for the next one… who knows I might even dress up too!
