My time at The Little Teacup was truly delightful; the venue is fantastic and the festive afternoon tea exceeded my expectations with its generous portions. I wasn’t able to finish it all and had to take some home. If you appreciate savoury treats, then there is plenty to enjoy, followed by lovely scones and the most delicious cake! The Little Teacup is undoubtedly a wonderful choice for a Festive afternoon tea!
The Festive Afternoon Tea Savouries
The afternoon tea is served on a traditional cake stand with a pretty china tea set and your choice of tea or coffee. The festive sandwich fillings included:
- Turkey and Stuffing
- Gammon Ham and Wholegrain Mustard
- Cream Cheese, Dill & Cucumber
- Egg Mayonnaise
Alongside our sandwiches we received, cheese pastry stars, sausage rolls, filled vol-au-vents, cheese twists and pretzels. A very generous portion of savoury goodies. The sandwiches were very fresh and generously filled and the warm sausage rolls were delicious.
The Sweet Stuff
The Festive sandwiches were followed by warm scones served with clotted cream and Tiptree Jam. These were lovely scones, with a great flavour and incredibly soft inside. Complementing the scones, a selection of festive sweet treats awaited us, including:
- White chocolate and Strawberry jam Muffin
- Chocolate Cake
- Mince Pie
The white chocolate muffin was my absolute favourite sweet treat, with the hidden jam inside and chunks of white chocolate, it was a complete triumph! Many of the cakes are baked in house at The Little Teacup or sourced from local bakers.
