The Sweet Stuff

You receive two freshly baked scones, one fruit and one plain. They are served warm wrapped up to keep them warm whilst you enjoy the savoury course. The scones are beautiful with a nice crisp crust on top but then deliciously moist inside, served with clotted cream and Tiptree Strawberry jam. I was very impressed with these scones, the fruit scone was lightly spiced and they smelt and tasted absolutely amazing.

The scones at Mulberry House was followed by a selection of sweet treats. You receive a mix of patisserie and dessert items which included:

  • Christmas Battenburg cake
  • Lemon tart
  • Chocolate tart
  • Forrest fruit dessert served in a glass
  • Caramel and chocolate profiterole

What sets Mulberry house apart from other Christmas Afternoon Teas are their most delectable cakes. They are the most prettiest you will see and they taste just as good as they look. Everything is prepared and made fresh in house with huge attention to detail. The lemon tart was my absolute favourite, zingy and refreshing, it really was delicious!

With the afternoon tea, unlimited loose leaf tea, speciality coffee or hot chocolate is included.

My thoughts:

The Christmas Afternoon Tea at Mulberry House really was an amazing experience. We were lucky enough to visit whilst there was snow on the ground, creating the most magical Christmassy atmosphere. The Garden Restaurant over looked the snow kissed grounds and lake complete with Swans. Inside the Christmas decorations were quite simply outstanding, it was such a pretty and festive environment to enjoy an afternoon tea. I really enjoyed this Christmas afternoon tea, the scones and cakes were outstanding and I’m sure you would not be disappointed. This was a wonderfully festive afternoon tea amongst gorgeous surroundings.
