The Savouries

Our afternoon tea arrived on a traditional three tier cake stand. On the bottom tier were a lovely selection of freshly made sandwiches, which were well filled in a mix of breads. We received Coronation chicken, smoked salmon with dill cream cheese, egg mayonnaise & chives, roast vegetables & feta and a lovely homemade pork sausage roll. It was absolutely delicious.

The Sweet Stuff

For the middle tier we each received two warm home baked scones, one plain and one fruit. They came with lashings of Cornish clotted cream and Tiptree jam. The scones were delicious, dusted in icing sugar with a nice crusty top and soft inside. They have a really lovely flavour and are seriously good, you will not be disappointed.

On the top tier we received a delicious array of mini cakes and patisserie items. We each received a lemon meringue tart, a chocolate & coffee mousse with marsala sponge, spiced carrot cake with cream cheese frosting and a white chocolate & almond macaroon. These again were all baked in house and were absolutely gorgeous. There were so many lovely treats, therefore we got to take some home for later!
