The Savouries

This afternoon tea is an afternoon tea with a difference! Without a finger sandwich in sight, instead you receive a selection of generously topped crostinis. The flavours included:

  • Bruschetta, Pepper, Tomato, Onion & Balsamic Glaze
  • Chicken & Bacon, Red Onion & Rocket
  • Salmon & Cream Cheese, Fresh Dill

The Chicken and Bacon was my favourite! They were all really delicious and packed with flavour and the crostinis kept their crunch which was nice. They made a great alternative to a traditional afternoon tea finger sandwich. Alongside these you receive a hearty homemade sausage roll and the most delicious savoury muffin! The Goats Cheese, Spinach & Herb muffins were so tasty and are an excellent addition to the afternoon tea!

The Sweet Stuff:

The savouries were followed by large home made scones, served with plenty of clotted cream and Tiptree Jam. Alongside your scones, you receive a gorgeous array of sweet treats including a chocolate orange mousse, lemon drizzle cupcake, a generously sized shortbread biscuit and the most incredible Biscoff cheesecake. This was a really lovely selection of home made cakes! You will not be disappointed with this afternoon tea. The Biscoff cheesecake in particular was a triumph, it really was delicious!
