Here is everything you need to know about the Afternoon Tea at Kittea Cakes Cat Cafe in Southend Essex.

We visited Kittea Cakes to try out their delicious afternoon tea and was really impressed. Their talented resident cake master Jas, bakes everything in house daily. The afternoon tea was amazing!

We received 6 freshly made finger sandwiches per person and a sausage roll. We enjoyed chicken & pesto, ham & mild mustard and cheese & pickle sandwiches.

These were followed by a super cute selection of cat themed cakes and treats and delicious home made scones served with Roddas clotted cream and jam. They were very nice scones, they were lovely and soft inside and dusted with icing sugar!

The cakes included:

  • cat shaped shortbread biscuits
  • coconut mice
  • mini cupcake
  • lemon drizzle square
  • chocolate cat truffle
  • macaroons
  • and strawberries

This was the perfect portion size, the cakes were bite size so not too much! The lemon drizzle cake was so moist and it was absolutely delicious!
