Easter Train at Audley End

The Easter Train at Audley End Miniature Railway is our favourite Easter Event on the calendar.

If you haven’t visited Audley End Miniature Railway before, it’s definitely one to add to the list. Situated just outside Essex in Saffron Walden, it makes a truly magical day out for kids. It’s a wonderful train ride through 1.5 miles of woodland spotting Teddies in their decorated habitats. There is also an enchanted fairy walk, craft & activity area and outdoor play area! It’s such a lovely day out with the kids. You can read our previous post about it here.

Easter Train

Climb aboard the Easter Train at Audley End Miniature Railway to journey through the forest. You are given a checklist of objects to spot on your travels. You’ll find the enchanted forest decorated with spring decorations, cute teddy bears and Easter themed characters on your trip. There is always great attention to detail and great theming at Audley End Miniature Railway. During your journey you’ll stop by the Easter Bunny’s burrow where you meet some of the Easter Bunny’s furry friends and if you’re lucky enough you might even get a special treat from the Easter Bunny himself!

Easter Trail

As well as the train running, there is also an Easter Trail through a woodland full of daffodils and crocuses and plenty of fun. Enter through the floral tunnel and keep a look out on your treasure hunt for Easter Eggs and Spring Characters. There are lots of lovely photo opportunities as you venture through the pretty woodland with a gift for each child at the end of the trail.

The kids have such fun hunting through the woods on their treasure hunt and spotting all the Easter themed decorations. It is such a magical experience and a great alternative to an Easter Egg Hunt.

Easter Fun

After your Easter Train at Audley End you’re free to explore the rest of the fun on offer. Easter themed crafts are available in the craft hut, an outdoor playground and picnic area and bouncy castles for a small extra fee.

There is also a cafe on site offering a small selection of lunches and snacks and hot and cold drinks. We love the hot chocolate topped with cream and lots of marshmallows!
