Cardamon Tea Lounge
We had the absolute pleasure of reviewing the truly magical Cinderella afternoon tea at Cardamon Tea Lounge. Set in Colchester Essex, this quaint traditional tea room also features on our list of The Best Afternoon Teas in Essex. It is a real hidden gem and in particular has become a popular spot for wonderful and imaginative Themed Afternoon Teas in Essex. The Cinderella afternoon tea is running for the month of August 2019.
Cinderella Afternoon Tea
We were transported to an enchanting Fairy Tale land. The table was dressed beautifully, complete with glass slippers, pumpkins and a clock (don’t let the clock strike midnight!). Each element of the Cinderella Afternoon Tea was imaginatively designed and put together. So much attention to detail goes into each themed afternoon tea and the Cinderella Afternoon Tea is no exception.
The Savouries
First of all we enjoyed the most delicious selection of sandwiches; a chicken salad croissant, an egg mayonnaise mini roll and sandwiches filled with ham & cheese and cream cheese & cucumber. Furthermore the sandwiches are always very fresh and super delicious! Without a doubt, my personal favourite has to be the croissant!
The Sweet Stuff
The savoury course at the Cinderella Afternoon Tea was followed by home made vanilla scones with clotted cream and jam. Along with this were so many Cinderella themed sweet treats to choose from. They included a chocolate Yule log, a pumpkin muffin, a jelly parfait, chocolate biscuit clock and magic wand. In addition there was even a handmade fudge cotton reel too!
Additionally the Cinderella afternoon tea is accompanied with your choice of tea, coffee or cold drink. The Cardamon Tea Lounge have over 50 varieties of tea on offer.
Before the clock strikes 12 and your coach turns into a pumpkin, don’t forget to book the Cinderella Afternoon Tea, running for the month of August 2019.
